Need Wireless In a Room for a non-wireless device? Use an Ethernet Converter.

3:32 PM
The Problem
I already have Wireless-N throughout the house and gigabit for wired. Some of the rooms have a wired networking port. Of course, the one with the XBOX 360 doesn't have wired networking. I also have a TV and a DVR to connect.

Though About
I could buy an XBOX 360 Wireless adapter ($99) and hook it up. It doesn't support "N". Nor does it support connecting any other devices.

Tried, and Disliked
I tried using both the NetGear and Linksys powerline network adapters. They worked, mostly, but I found things jittery. Back to the store they went. They were around $150 and the best that I could find at BestBuy or Frys.

The Final Solution
I bought a Wireless N Dual Band Ethernet Converter. It connects to my existing wireless network as if it were a computer. But on the back are (4) ports for connecting other ethernet devices. I have been gaming with the XBOX 360 and watching videos without any problems.

Buffalo NFiniti Wireless-N Dual Band Etnernet Converter (model: wli-tx4-ag300n). The price at Frys: $99.

The setup took about 5 minutes (had to connect it to a PC and then run the configuration tool).

After 2 months, it is working great!
