- Log On to the "physical" or "host" machine with an administrator-level account you want to perform the conversion on.
- Open System in the Control Panel, or right-click on My Computer and select Properties.
- Click on the Advanced tab.
- Click on Performance Options.
- Under Virtual Memory click on Change.
- Under the Registry size, enter a new value in MB.

Sometimes the VMWare Converter will fail during the conversion process due to a small Registry size. This is not a problem for XP or 2003 systems (as they have unlimited hives). To resolve this problem, do the following:
