There is an easy way to determine if your processor supports 32-bit or 64-bit processing capabilities. You can use a tool called CPU-Z from http://www.cpuid.com/ to determine this. It is a free utility.
1. Download the latest version and install it.
2. Run it.
3. It might take a minute or two.
4. Look for the EM64T.
The presence of this means that your processor is capable of handing 64-bit operations.
