HOW-TO: Check Dot Net Version

Overview
There are some manual ways for checking the Microsoft .NET version. The following Microsoft KB Article 318785 describes the details. You can manually view the versions by doing the following:

• Open Windows Explorer.
• Go to c:\windows\microsoft.net\Framework.
• Compare the version releases with the details from the Microsoft KB Article 318785

.NET Version Checking Tool
ASoft .NET Version Detector is a lightweight tool that gives information on the different versions of Microsoft .NET that are installed on a machine. If a certain version isn't on the machine, you can simply follow the link that .NET Version Detector suggests, so it is easier to find the runtimes.
